"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's already snowing here. It looks likes we have a few inches so far.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's snowing here, but we aren't supposed to get snowpocalypse (except for how ANY snowfall in Cincinnati is the goddamn snowpocalypse). They're forecasting, at most, 4 inches, but probably more like 2. And this is when I love working from home. Yes indeed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's snowing like a bitch here, and my boss told me already she basically doesn't believe in snowdays. So that's nice. We'll see what the organization believes in!

unsurprisingly no snow here, but colder than yesterday, that is for sure.

I so enjoyed having people at my house. I wish it had been more at once and for a sustained time. I think I will invite people over each Sunday for the playoffs.

I also wish I had just finished cleaning up last night instead of stopping at like 85%.

Tonight I have a dinner for a church committee and then my brother gets in (if his flight is not cancelled)at midnight. The guest room is NOT at all ready. Christmas stuff, plus anything I cleared out for the people yesterday is just shoved in there. Afterwork is gonna be busy.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Just gloomy here in DC. We're expecting rain showers later, changing over to snow showers in the middle of the night with a very cold day by DC standards tomorrow.

omg, we are currently 3 positions down in the 2 locations I support. 1 position I do not think they are replacing, 1 is down due to illness and I have not heard a timeframe on that person's return, the 3rd position has not yet been approved for filling...AND NOW someone failed a drug test, so we are about to be down 1 more. Crappity crap. It doesn't necessarily increase my workload, but it makes me have to harass people a lot more for paperwork and information I need.

For context, there were 13 non-driver people working in the 2 locations when I started, so it's like a quarter reduction just from loss and slow hiring.

Ugh. I need to go upstairs and start doing work, but I am just not wanting to. I'm telling myself it's not even that MUCH work and if I get it done I can do other stuff, but...ugh. I opened the computer and looked at some easy emails earlier, but now the things waiting for me are actual work. Why am I not just independently wealthy?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Today is "what the hell is this bone in my mouth" day. And also, apparently, "No more hourly work for you from old job" day.

yay for getting the bone resolved, boo for old job deciding that.

meara, you should get some Texas work and I can set up my spare room as a remote office for you and then we can hang out and have the funs!

yeah, so a little socialness yesterday just really made me realize how much I miss it. EVERYONE IS INVITED TO VISIT.
