Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I watched Much Ado About Nothing with my mum, for all intents and purposes that my mum wasn't attending to food related things during the airing. It was completely enjoyable until I realized that she was gone and not coming back for a long while. Still, worthwhile, and Keanu wasn't as horrific as I'd remembered him being, to holing myself in the sin cave with my brothers watching Elysium. There was some victory in watching a movie with (or without) her vs. watching (and drinking) a movie with my brothers.

I finished the black eyed peas which are better than the scones I screwed up. I think I had way too much baking soda (would that taste acidiTc). I hate when I screw up baking.

Tomorrow will be orange cinnamon rolls then a long ride out to the desert. Gotta occupy a day somehow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, tomorrow I get to have neighbor-made bacon for breakfast! Good one. Our neighbors are the best.

Gotta occupy a day somehow.

This is such a foreign concept to me.

I can't find blackeyed peas in my pantry, but I have made my peace with that. Maybe next year, as I seem to find myself saying a lot lately.

Too much baking soda ought to be basic rather than acidic, I think? But bitter, that much I know from experience (meaning to use powder and using that amount of soda in my case. Yecch.)

I am apparently in exactly the right frame of mind for Nova Science Now. Highly enjoyable. Also, olives are freakin' delicious, my goodness.

me too. I am a sitter and a watcher for many many days.

I should be cooking. I announced on fb that I was starting to cook. I am not cooking. I remembered I need to pay my property taxes today or I cannot claim them on this years taxes, so looking for that number.

Well, it's more like I have to occupy the kids for a day and I'm tired of playing catch, watching a bike being ridden, and refereeing board games.

I hope you find it soon!

I just remembered I have new pajamas saved up for this evening and put them on. They're super cozy.

Yes, I am dressed for bed before 7:30. No regrets!

Yeah, Kat I remember those years when there was no self-entertaining. One of the very good things about them getting older, IMO.

They do entertain each other quite a bit. But Grace isn't fun to play catch with for Noah. And all bike riding has to be supervised.

I'm just a little twinned out at the moment.
