I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

lisah, I put the eggs in cold water, bring to not quite a boil (this is probably where I get into trouble, but that's what several otherwise trustworthy sources recommend), take it off the heat and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Then cool the eggs in an ice water bath (or just cool water, whatever), start peeling and, hey, these are not cooked eggs. Opaque but liquid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I'd do a rolling boil before turning them off, and it should work.

OK, next time. These cookbook authors seem awfully concerned that I don't overcook my eggs, but I don't think I care.

This time I've already just started over from the beginning and am back up to cooling, but since one is already cracked open I can see that the white is firmer.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm having pork chops and brussels sprouts, and I got myself a honey and lemon cupcake for afterwards.

Nice, Anne!

I wish you much meatloaf and egg salad, Connie.

Hard boiled eggs: throw desired amount of eggs into pot, cover with about an inch of water, bring to a boil, turn heat off and let sit 10 to 12 minutes, rinse with cold water (peel immediately if possible).

We had eggs in our salad over the holidays, which was wonderful. with the fam. But Dad did the dishes, which was a novel contribution on his part.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I left work early, so now I am curled up on the couch with wine and Community. Soon there will be cheese as well.

I made the sticky rolls, which turned out okay but not, I suspect, awesome. And there are LOTS. I threw a bunch in the freezer, and have bagged some to give to Dad so he can share with his neighbors.

I was watching Enron: the Smartest Guys in the Room on Amazon Prime, but managed to spill a quart of water all over the floor next to the surge protector while I was watering the tree, so everything is unplugged there. In a few minutes I'll start making biscuits for dinner tonight.

I managed to fall while holding onto the fridge door. Now the fridge is three inches further into the kitchen and I can't open the silverware drawer without opening the fridge, and I don't have the strength to shove the fridge back. Oh, the strange quirks one has to live with... One day I'll figure out how to climb onto the roof.
