I had a maple pecan porter. It was, as ever, not quite mapley enough.

That sounds fabulous, though.

The answer to this problem is, I suspect, on your shelf next to the pancake mix.
As a kid, down on Olvera Street, my Dad used to buy me maple sugar candy, that was pure molded maple sugar in the form of maple donkeys and maple men & women and maple rabbits and maple ducks. Can't get much maplier than that. Don't know if anyone but a little kid can stand something that sweet.
I remember those candies, Typo.
I used to love those!
Oh, yeah, those things were great.
I loved them as a kid. I wonder if we would still love them today? I know someone served me applejacks recently which was a favorite cereal as a kid, and was - disappointed.
You can get those maple sugar candies at pretty much every place that sells souvenirs in Maine and Vermont. I still like them, but I've got to eat them pretty slowly, or else it's too much sugar.
Bong. Happy new year everyone! (It begins...)
