Theo - so sorry about your toe!

There were vultures sunning themselves, wings spread, on the water tower down the street from the house this afternoon. Quite impressive!They're on a ridge line (great views) so the large birds like to ride the thermals .

At the airport and of course my flight was just delayed .

Whew, filled the yard waste bin with blackberry vines during half-time (well, half-time+half the 3rd qtr because I am not good at judging the passage of time). It actually makes a visible difference to that quadrant of the yard! Hooray!

Whipped up an experimental batch of hazelnut meal shortbread with bacon and cheddar during the first half. Smells really good. Kinda wish I hadn't had lunch so I could try one. They should keep until tomorrow, though.

These were the other three pair of jeans I patched. Grace will inherit most of these from Noah within the next month or two. I love the monster with the fangs the best. [link]

I think I have talked myself into not doing laundry today. I only have to get through two work days, after all, I have enough clean clothes for that...

Man, there is some crazy stuff happening football-wise.

I decided I was hungry enough to try one of my breakfast cookies for what I might as well call dinner. Yum! It's pretty rich, I'll try it with an egg and more flour for the next batch, but the concept is definitely sound.

I'm so sick of being sick. I have done less than nothing this weekend. I have been home alone with the cats and I'm ready to lock them out of my room. I never thought there was such a thing as too much snuggling but back off kitties.
