Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

So last night I managed to break my big toe in two places in the process of not quite falling down the stairs -- basically, I managed to toe-plant like a ballerina, only less gracefully and more painfully.

I don't need heavy-duty painkillers, it only hurts when I move it. I'm trying to remember that pain is the body's way of saying 'don't do that.' We'll see if the lesson takes.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh Theo, ouch! You poor thing.

Theo that sounds awful! Dang, I hope it stays not super painful.

Just got a blowout for the wedding, waiting on the other two bridesmaids. But it's pouring rain out, so not sure how well this will work by the time we get back to the hotel, get ready, and get to the wedding venue.

The ER took X-rays, so this is the first time I have definitely broken a bone (or two).

My reaction when the doctor was showing me the pictures was, "Oh good! I wasn't being a big cry-baby!"

My big concern right now is if I'm going to be able to drive my car, which being a standard means clutching with the broken-toed foot. Maybe if I can put on my steel-shank hiking boots or something similarly stiff-soled?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ouch, Theo! Did they give you a boot?

I am on the train! Heading to my birthday party! Good times.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's raining here, I'm waiting for the cough meds to start working and I have a cat on my lap.

I chased a flying squirrel out of the pantry/laundry room this morning.

I win?

Theo, I hope you figure out how to negotiate hobbled soon.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ouch Theo, hope it heals up quickly!

And ouch sarameg too. You are clearly a moving goddess. I'm pretty sure between the two of you, you and msbelle could rule the world with those skills.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I ought to go grocery shopping. I'm at my parents', and there's not much food. And today would be a good day to go to the good grocery store, since it's Sunday and there won't be much traffic on the highway. But it's cold and raining outside and I'm nice and cosy inside.
