Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

My local Nordstrom Rack has a lot of NYDJ stuff. Still not cheap, but cheap-er.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I suspect my adulthood maturity moment was buying a Major Appliance, or at least it seemed at the time. I already had a car... but cars are things that teenagers have.

I've never heard of NYDJ, but should definitely look into them. It's not that I'm =old= but low slung jeans so do not flatter my figure.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ooh, there's a newish Nordstrom Rack relatively close that I still haven't been to! I forgot I meant to check that out. I figured right before Christmas might not be a good time for aimless recreational shopping, but now might be better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, good to know!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Cough meds seem to be helping a bit, but now my back hurts.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hmm, maybe I'll try the Nordstrom Rack on Monday. Certainly not going there the weekend after Christmas!

We have had a nice time with the family. Took my nephews and little niece to the steam train in the park, and out for pizza, and then climbing at my gym. Got to show off my climbing moves. I should have crashed early but I was sitting up late reading fic (not even Yuletide!).

So much Yuletide: I have dozens of tabs open and it's kind of overwhelming.

On the subject of wine, I buy a LOT. I've become the kind of person who has two cases of wine in the closet at all times, just in case I need to bring wine to someone's house. It's useful but also kind of dangerous.

brenda, I hope the extraction goes smoothly and as painlessly as possible.

DCJ, all my sympathies to you and your family.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I like my NYDJs.

Pray for me, I am inviting people over NY day. WHy yes, I do still have gaping holes in my walls from termite damage, but I just do not care. Despite the exhaustion, cooking all for Christmas made me feel good and I want to be more social, so I am initiating it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yuletide! I miss LJ because everybody would be reporting in on their Yuletide work and gifts.

It allowed me to be fandom-adjacent in a way that seems to have disappeared.
