I am extremely frustrated, angry and guilty feeling. Two months ago I was invite to participate in a small scale training on January 6,7,8 which are 3 days of the last week of my winter break. I discussed it extensively with K.
Now she wants to go skiing in Utah those days and she's mad at me because I won't bag the training and in fact she's pissed that I'm going at all.
And, btw, Grace also has a doctor's appointment on the 6th and surgery on the 7th.
I like working. I like my work. I find working helps give my life shape and meaning when I am otherwise overwhelmed. Plus, I need the extra $1000 I'll get for participating.
We voted and we both like the Scarecrow the best. Plus she explained her theory to me, which is that Dorothy hits her head during the twister and--wait for the big reveal--is ASLEEP THE WHOLE TIME. She didn't know if I'd thought of that and wanted me to get the whole picture. So adorable.
So adorable!
Both my sisters got puppies this month! This is Lilly:
Also adorable!
I think this might be the most fun Christmas ever.
Pork roast is in the roaster! Dog is meditating in front of the fire. Husband is restoring fallen decorations. I am contemplating a pre-dinner shower.
Argh Kat.
I am so stuffed with turkey and fixins. I may die.
The second puppy has arrived! Here's Missy: [link]
Gemma sounds like a great kid.
I am enjoying today because I finished all my cooking at 2 when I made creamed spinach to take to dinner. Yesterday involved a bit too much, between putting up and trimming the tree, making dinner, and wrapping presents.
And Kat, that's a tough one. I know that feeling, the frustrated/angry/guilt combo.
oh my gosh, those puppies are cute!
Cutie-pie doggies!
I'm sorry, Kat, that doesn't sound fair to you.
Because I have actually reduced the perpetual stack of dishes-that-need-washing, it is of course time to make stock and probably cook some other stuff, build that stack back up to its usual levels. Smells good, I must say - lotta fennel in the things-to-go-in-stock stash this round.
