See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey, BT! Merry Christmas!

Only if it failed to obey.

I had to give them a transportation assist, as dark-chocolate-covered coffee beans do not yet have self-mobility, but in the end they bowed to my wishes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

mostly I found I have to finish a row before I put something down.

This is what I do. I usually mark one of my needles so that I can tell by which one I'm working off of whether I'm on the "right" or "wrong" side of the pattern, because I usually can't tell by looking unless I've got a lot already done and it's all the same.

I don't know any web resources, but I have had good luck picking up How to Knit books meant for, like, middle school age maybe - the pictures and instructions are nice and clear, so I can use those as references for more cryptic patterns, or if I just don't remember how to, oh, cast on or something, as I fairly frequently forget basic stuff. And there's an iPad app I quite like "Knitting and Crocheting HD"

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I love Knitting Help. They have lots of good videos.

And the 10th Circuit Court refused to grant a stay to stop the same sex marriages in Utah. Party on!

Next step--which our lovely governor is preparing--is to ask SCOTUS for a stay--and our representing judge on SCOTUS is Sotomayor. Don't look good for the fundies.

At last check, this news has not been posted on the LDS-church-owned media outlets. Heh.

not your mom's socks.

Nothing like a little surprise communion at the children's service of your parents (used to be very laid back, certainly not comunion at a kids service, methodist) church.

Except of course if your parent convinces your child to go up and partake. Without consulting you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, Sue -- sorry about the job.

Have successfully completed my big parts of Christmas! The whole family came over, including my newest cousin, who is amazing, obviously. We did hors d'oeuvres and presents in my apartment, and dinner in my parents', just like always, except of course it used to be my grandmother's. Somehow being in here with everyone and all the presents made it feel like my grandmother's place again. It was nice, though! Then singing at church, which more than one person said was our best ever, which is nice to hear. Tomorrow will be more low-key with mostly just us and a few friends here and there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh! But my mother just said, "We aren't going to have breakfast together tomorrow, are we?" ON CHRISTMAS?? Of course we are! And you're going to make a strata and Christmas Scones! Just because I live downstairs doesn't mean we aren't going to have Christmas breakfast together!! Sheesh. (I did actually say all of that....)
