Sue, as with most things, I take this as a sign that you should move down here and be my neighbor. I am sorry though. Boo them, because you are fabulous.
I ventured out to Walgreens, Aldi and Target. mostly got groceries.
I am supposed to go to church to sing at Christmas Eve service, but I don't want to and mac doesn't want to go and maybe I just won't. It is still not feeling very Christmasy to me. This whole year is off.
I am at least cooking though. Fruit sip is warming on the stove, cranberries have been chopped and sprinkled with sugar to become a salad tomorrow.
Next up dough for Christmas morning cinnamon rolls and then cookies.
I would like to learn how to knit. Does anyone have a web resource they can recommend? My biggest problem was remembering which stitch I left off on, ie, knit or purl, and I got frustrated. Crochet always made more sense to me. But knitting strikes me as one of those thing I should know. (Though learning a musical instrument doesn't strike me the same way, odd.)
DH and I just watched the first three eps of the new Community, and OMG you guys, my show is BACK! Dan Harmon in the driver's seat and suddenly all the characters have shaken off the off-ness of last season and are back to being themselves.
Relatedy, I miss ita.
We'll be working off the Xmas ham by moving furniture!
My presents are all wrapped! Which means it's time to go drink!
My mother is here! I am contemplating the wine right now!
I am very tired, having done stuff all day, and now I still have to cook dinner and deal with presents and stuff.
The tree is decorated, the presents are all wrapped, the dogs are walked and fed, dinner is cooked, and lumieres are lit. Now 'tis time to eat!
Oh, dear. I just glanced at my bag of dark-chocolate covered coffee beans and thought, very clearly, "Come to me, my precious."
I may have A Problem.
Sausage rolls are made, potato-ham-cheese bake for tomorrow's brunch is assembled. Next I make sausage stuffing, and then I go get ready to go to a party. When we come home, I wrap Pete's presents.
Yay productivity? I'm also tormenting Pete with my choices in holiday music: first it was John Denver and the Muppets, and now it's the Haunted Mansion Christmas.
