Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

There is much left to do, but at least some of it is done. (There, that's me trying to see the glass as half full.)

I can't even find the glass.

{{hugs for you}}, Ginger.

Me, I made some Mark Bittman butter cookies, but I'm a bit disappointed in them. Still, it was enough to fill a little tin, along with ginger snaps and snicker doodles, to give to a friend I'm meeting for dinner.

I went for a run, clipped the dog's nails, made cookies, and did the dishes. That's enough for today, right? Possibly not, but instead of being more useful, I'm listening to the Bridge School Benefit and poking about the internet.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

The Sound of Music is starting on ABC right now!

information libertarian

We just drove home from the lovely festival of lessons and carols at the Episcopal Cathedral downtown singing Hark the Herald Angels Sing with added lyrics about toe cheese. The choir was really good - definitely a professional-level group rather than "anybody from the congregation can show up." And the toe cheese is one of those "only in my family" things.

I don't think I want to know about toe cheese!

My sister and I made a whole bunch of cookies. They are delicious. For dinner her husband heated up pita and chopped up carrots and celery, and handed us hummus. And some deli turkey. And her cat is stalking me to lay on my chest, possibly in order to better steal my breath/soul.

But, y'know, good times.

Heh, I forgot that I'm meeting a friend for a belated birthday dinner. I guess I should get dressed...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I finally started moving about 3pm today. showered, ordered food, got a few groceries and picked up the food.

That may be the fastest I have ever eaten wings.

Now watching football. No chance of cookies happening, just not gonna, maybe Christmas eve. I should do Christmas cards, I guess. That needs doing AND gets stuff out of my house, so yes, Christmas cards.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should be doing other things, but I have got to paint my nails. Priorities!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Just as the WKRP bit is an important bit of my Thanksgiving tradition, this piece from Yes, Minister is an important part of my Christmas tradition: [link]
