Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Because books.

Wow, I only got 13 right. There is both a lot of pasta and a lot of composers I've never heard of.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm on the road to NJ. Stopped at Denny's for lunch. Route 80 is so boring.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Today is present wrapping and pie-dough making day, although both may be slightly hindered by my taking a chunk out of my thumb while slicing potatoes for a gratin. The cut's not deep, but it's bleeding like whoa.

In other news, something that is unexpectedly delicious is the latte that the local coffee shop makes with a brown sugar and rosemary syrup.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We are, Kat. Let's make a plan to get together at some point during the break.

That latte sounds delicious, Anne, and I'm not usually a latte drinker.

Ow, that sounds very painful, Anne!

Minor holdup in the cookie making--three kinds of dough done, one set of cornflake wreaths done, and THEN we discover my sister somehow only owns ONE COOKIES SHEET. Wtf, I ask. Brother in law has gone to purchase more.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ow, Anne!

Cornflake wreaths! I love those. Assuming they are the bright green ones sort of like rice krispie treats.

So, I only had lunch, but it was elaborate! And I cleaned up after! Next, food shopping with parents.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ouch, Anne! Thumbs do bleed a lot. That latte sounds delish.

I slept for 11 hours last night and still don't feel like actually doing anything.

Yup, those are the cornflake wreaths I'm talking about. With redhots for decoration! ...we are eating a lot of the redhots on their own though. Because we had to get a big bag of them, see...

I am back in PJ making mode. I have 3 pairs completed. I have two more pair that needs the waist turned and threaded and hemmed, then I have 3 pairs that need another seam, plus waist and hem. I also have 2 gift bags stitched from remnants that need the tops hemmed and a pair of pants that need cut and hemmed. (and two that are complete) Essentially this is all of the sewing that needs to be done with brown thread. I am sewing by thread color because it annoys me so so re-thread/re-bobbin.

I also made quinoa, so that's hopeful.

I have a bitch of a headache though.
