I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Argh, sarameg! Yay home warranty, I guess. My folks just had emergency sewer line repair this week and found out the junction near the street is NINE FEET DOWN. Madness. Fortunately, the problem was closer to the house and only three feet under.

I award all the sleeps to Kat. I can make more for me later.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm now wondering if my older brother has been sleeping in my room, because my parents don't have a guest room, and my mother sleeps in the living room on the couch a lot for various reasons. I hope the house is dry for the duration of his stay. I also wish, in light of their enabling, that they had come up with some excuse for his presence, or put his ass up at a motel and lied to me. I tried disowning his ass two decades ago and mom got mad at me for hurting his feelings. I've been content with our brief thrice yearly phone calls and abbreviated physical visits. Being in the same house for three or more days is going to be awful/awkward.

All our sewer lines are something like 8 FEET under street level. My basement floor is about street level (built on a rise, 9 steps up to the first floor, basement is almost walkout in the back- up 2 steps, down 4 to alley.) Oh, and the majority of the line is under a concrete foundation. Can't even contemplate if is more than just clogged line. Very suspicious of coincidental temp shift.

Home warranty is on it. I can call the contractor tomorrow and schedule them to visit when I'm back. Maybe that way I can get the first slot of the morning.

I support your personal growth. In theory. In reality, I prefer everything to stay the same.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Grandma passed away about half an hour ago. All her children were with her. No idea on arrangements yet, but I hope they wait until the 27th for the funeral. Mac is at a sleepover and my friend is here.

Because books.

Oh, msbelle, I'm so sorry. I know how much you loved her.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am so sorry, msbelle.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Condolences, msbelle. It's always sudden, even when it isn't.

msbelle, I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm grateful that the waiting for all is over. Sounds like the arrangements for the night are the best as can be.
