I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My older brother got busted for a DUI while driving as part of his job. So he's fired, going to court, maybe to jail, no longer engaged, kicked out of his house, now living with our parents, which means he'll be around ALL the time when I visit. I think my visit is going to be very short. God. Fuck. Not just drinking on the job, not just drinking while driving, but apparently heavily intoxicated. Fuckfuckfuck you dumb fuck.

Sheryl, I hear ya on lack of parental wifi. It's why I stay with my sister...thoug now in the era of smartphones it's a little better.

Assuming we can ever get OFF this plane, I should make my connection ok even though we are an hour late. I forgot how many small children are traveling at the holidays. I like them one but dislike that they get to board ahead of everyone (even if I understand why) because there's so many of them now!!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ack, Juliebird. No, you're completely justified in making it a short visit, particularly if your parents are enabling.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'll be pretty much dark, net-wise the whole time as my folks do not have wi-fi. Ah, well, there's books on my iPad

Download an extra book! Just to be sure!

One of my holiday destinations lacks internet and I always feel like I have to really plan ahead. Though smart phones mean that email and such is always still right there.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

So who just found $1400 of charges to a Public Storage in Atlanta on her credit card?

Ginger, did you steal my credit card and set up a secret lair?

Dana, have you been shopping at Target in the last couple of months? They just announced they'd lost data for 40 MILLION credit/debit cards.

No, I hadn't used that card, and we actually asked the rep about it, but she said of all the people that had called in that day, they hadn't found any fraud related to Target.

I still blame Ginger.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I suspect Mr. Peabody.

I guess if the storage unit is filled with rodent carcasses, I'll know for sure.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

One thing I hate about mt apartment is during winter I have to change how open the radiators are whenever the temperature outside changes a lot. Right now it's 34 out. I have my radiators almost closed and the windows are open. It's now 81 in my apartment.
