And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Cool, my brother just called me with a job for me. For which I will get paid! And I don't have to get off the couch to do it, either.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And I don't have to get off the couch to do it, either.

Couch jobs are the best!

...although I suppose my blood pressure disagrees with that.

I'm working from the couch right now AIFG. I'm also surrounded by kleenex and bottle of water. Wheeee.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay for the couch job, Consuela!

I am overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety and misery today. I don't have time for this! Waiting for Xmas to arrive is like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I love my couch job. Well, love that it's a couch job, and often love the job part as well.

I'm sorry to hear that! For us, it's just a holding on issue.

I'm sorry, Burrell. I hope it goes more easily than you think.

And now, before I start my couch job, I will go make snickerdoodles. While listening to cheesy Christmas songs (including that Dan Fogelberg song that always gets me even though it's totally hokey).

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I think the problem is I'm no longer holding onto much of anything, and I just have to hope I don't fall too far, and that there's something down there to cushion the landing.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think I would be OK on a glass floor? My fear is connected to being off-kilter, so a stepladder is way scarier to me than a tall building.

In this I am Jesse.

Anyone ever use the escalator at Porter Square station in Cambridge, MA? You know the one I mean if you have. That things gives me panic attacks going up or down.

Actually, I think up is worse because I worry I'm going to lose it and keel over backwards, and once that started I'd be heading for the bottom.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That escalator never bothered me much because there is a low ceiling. I nearly had a panic attack on an escalator in DC because it was nearly as high and steep -- in an open-to-the-sky pit. Had to close my eyes and hang on to the rail for dear life. Only time I can ever remember being hit like that.
