Thanks le nubian for the Showtime link! Now I can catch up on Homeland!

Bigass (probably red-shouldered) hawk was hanging out in the trees in the alley this morning. The squirrels were conspicuously absent from the power lines.

My morning routine now involves something resembling this: [link] But with smaller cat. She climbs on the towel as soon as I bend to wrap my hair in it (after perching on the edge of the tub with her front paws on me demanding pets and licking stray drops of water as I try to dry off.) Mornings are complicated.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Finally caught up on Scandal, almost. I'm part way through the last one now. I know that I should be all Mama Poe! but in reality, I just feel like this is a less interesting rehash of some of the awesome that Alias could be.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Slept through until 8 AM! But I am drug-free and feeling OK, so Job 1 here is digging out my car from two snowfalls and getting out for groceries and Etc..

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I never watched Alias, but I can see your point, Kat.

My phone tells me I got a lot of good sleep (sometimes living in the future is super weird) but I could still sleep more. Ah well, it's the weekend soon enough.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My father's response was to lean down and pick up a piece of the grating to show that it wasn't bolted down.

I'd have thrown up all over your father.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I blame my mattress for my lack of good sleep lately, so this weekend, I'm going to swap them. I've been sleeping on my grandmother's mattress, and have my previous one in the guest room, so that's easy enough to fix. Although I'll have to excavate the guest room....

This morning's work victory: I figured out how to use the copier to scan something and email it to myself. It's a good thing I figured it out on my own, because I was using it for personal reasons!

hwæt

Those big scanners have an internal hard drive, and they save copies of everything that gets scanned.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

But how many people are going to go delving into the depths of that hard drive and then sort through everything scanned?
