Well, I hope it's love and not despair, because I'm about halfway to despair.

Well, maybe not halfway. More like a few steps. Despair is sort of not my usual toolkit.

This week, we have half-days of school but finals week and grades are due. BLARGH. I have a cookie meeting for Girl Scouts on Tuesday. On Thursday my boss is having a work function holiday party at her place and I feel like, politically, I can't not go. Thursday afternoon I also have agreed to help at the twins' holiday parties. Perhaps cupcakes?

I am tired just thinking about this.

I haven't done any of the Holiday baking I wanted and I have more shopping to do and I need to mail. I am usually more on top of things. The grump is strong.

Probably not. I'm working 3 days of my break (in January). I hope that it will help ease some of the crap.

In magical thinking land, I'd love to win the lottery. Then some of my nurse sitch would be solved!

OH DEAR GOD! I forgot to mention, the school district tried to fire Grace's nurse on Tuesday. They didn't want her back because Grace got hit in the face with a ball during kickball and the other kids swarmed her and made her go to the school nurse's office. The school nurse does Not Approve and Grace was afraid and hysterical (as she gets). So the head of nursing for the district calls me to tell me our nurse is being replaced but because we share time with her, she hopes that will be okay.

UGH. It was such a fucking mess to untangle. Suffice it to say our nurse is staying. And Grace can't play kickball now.

I also have had my eyebrows done which was my big goal for this weekend. DOH. I have procurred cute new eyeglass frames. In January or February, I'll replace the lenses.

Yikes! Poor Grace! And you.

I haven't done any of the Holiday baking I wanted and I have more shopping to do and I need to mail. I am usually more on top of things. The grump is strong.

This is me too. Only my grump has been significantly abated. In looking for reasons, I am tempted to point towards the increase in hugs at the reunion, as supposedly every touch or hug gives you a hit of oxytocin.

Homemade prezzies are the best, Kat, but I understand how the stress that motivated the making can make them less fun to give.

I made some cookies. I also ate too many in their various forms: partly made dough, dough, baked and baked with glaze.

Oh man, Kat. That all sounds frustrating and exhausting. Though I'm kind of jealous of the baking. I told my sister we have to do a lot of baking when I get to her place.

I'm also looking forward to downtime, and am contemplating changing my plane ticket--on the one hand, I want to spend time with my BFF after the wedding (they're going to a cabin in he woods with a bunch of friends and I said I'd go), on the other hand, I could go be at HOME for a few days. Torn.
