My 20th reunion is in May, and I don't know if I want to go.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I vote, "You are the Burrell. You have nothing to prove."
I am trying to cut down a recipe that's a jumble of pounds, cups and teaspoons, and there is TOO MUCH MATH.
Evidently I'm not trying to impress anyone anymore. I can't tell if that's progress, or just giving up.
I say it's a good thing!
Allen Leech was v. charming, Sue, but we did not hang out.
Sigh. Saw some pictures on instagram and was dying, I have to admit. But it seems insane to spend mucho dollars to see someone for a few minutes.
Wait, does this mean no new prom picture, Jesse?
My friends had a crap 2013, so they are ringing in 2014 early. Tonight. I wish I felt more like celebrating, but I just feel hormonal and schmoopy. But I should go. I will be snowed in all of tomorrow, probably, and a weekend of being at home will make me stir crazy.
Is this a real thing? A bra that can fit two servings of booze? with a 'sippy hose'? I'm baffled. and confused.
I think that's not even a new thing, actually. Seems to me I heard about something like that a few years ago. The Mindy Project featured one recently, that I am sure of.
Jesse, I think you might want this for the Tumblr: [link]
Scarf, a beautiful and wordless comic about beauty and joy and love in winter.
Well, here I am, another Christmas season with another personal decision to try to keep up in Natter again. I haven't read something like the last, oh, 15000 posts, so sorry if I'm behind.
I should probably go read the most recent 100 or so.
Not that I should, since my to-do list is longer than ever, but the more I think about it the more I think making 30 minutes a day to read y'all's words is worth the priority. Better than io9 comments, anyway, which currently waste enough of my time.
Nice tree!
I have achieved hot buttered rum. Turns out I've been making it wrong for years - it has always been fine (warm, cinnamon, hard to go wrong) but has always felt thin to me no matter the ratio or butter to rum, so it was a last-ditch warm cocktail option (when too lazy to make decent tea for toddying).
Turns out my problem was all in the rum. Golden rum (my preferred for most things, though rum isn't ever really my favorite) just doesn't work as well as a true dark rum when hotted and buttered. Gosling upped the ante significantly and this could now truly be my winter drink.
