Cold suck. Almost worse because there is really nothing to be done about them! Ugh.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Poor, Theo. I just want to stick you in a Dim Sum steamer until you're all better.
But then she would be cooked! We don't want a cooked Theo!
I totally got peer pressured into shoveling! Or, into shoving mostly water off the driveway. I peeked out the window and saw that the (retired, but hardy) neighbor had cleared our sidewalk, and could hear that she was still out there, so.
That's not peer pressure, Jesse. That's guilt. Self-directed guilt. Like a closed loop.
Dang it's cold this morning! I need to get the heater lit so we can have at least one warm room in the house. But hey, at least I have coffee and the kids are off to school, so the morning is starting out OK. We needed to drive them up to school as they slept in and missed the bus, but that's the price of Monday.
I almost finished with cleaning out my sister's office. One more week to get out items of possible value and then I'm calling the hauler and saying it's out of my hands.
It's a balmy 6 in Utah this morning! With the sun out, though, praise be. I sat in the car in the office parking lot, basking in the sunlight coming in through the windows and not wanting to step out into the brisk wind that was blowing the sparkly snow around.
It was 32 degrees at our house this AM. When I got to the Y, there was no lifeguard, which felt like a mixed blessing (Oh! I don't HAVE to get it). But he showed up 5 minutes later and then all was goodish.
My classroom is 63 degrees, which is a problem, but I'll survive it.
AND my 3-D printer showed up today. So excited!
You have a 3D printer? Fancy!
Hrm, I should pour another coffee and start grading.
