Kat,
WT fucking fuck?
Kat, yikes, that's awful.
Kat, what the hell? How could you lose your insurance, and how could they not tell you? Just...what.
Also chiming in to say WTF?
Here's a little bit of awesome for the Tumblr: [link]
We moved two years ago. In the paper work I submitted last august, I changed the address and noted the address change but apparently they didn't change it, though they have sent me stuff since then. Also, Customer Service, the people you speak to on the phone, can't change your address. You have to go in to see your case worker to do that.
So I have to reapply for Medicaid which should take 2-3 months. AND it's like existing in the 7th circle of hell. For example, I got the office near 3:35, but there was no parking. By the time I got into the county building, got frisked and got the front of the line it was after 4:00. You can't submit applications after 4:00 so I'll have to go back on Monday. Except, you know, JOB WHICH PROVIDES PRIMARY INSURANCE. And on Monday, I'll only have my preliminary pre-application interview where they will tell me all the forms I need for my actual application. Which I will then have to go back and resubmit.
No. Really.
I'd like to put my head down and cry. In fact, I did.
I also wonder if this is why I now owe UCLA Medical Center $30,000?
Holy fuck Kat. I'm speechless and furious.
I also wonder if this is why I now owe UCLA Medical Center $30,000?
That sounds likely. I'm so sorry you've entered a bureaucratic hell. Damn.
Fuck, Kat! What a nightmare! I am so sorry.
I'm afraid anything else I might have wanted to say is temporarily lost in an incoherent rage.
Also, for the record, please remember I have amazingly good PRIMARY insurance provided by my employer. So I still think the UCLA Med center stuff is a fuck up. And the people who told me I owed was my primary insurance and I need UCLA to put in the authorization for it.
Yes. This pretty much sucks and is the worst day.
On the upside, we got a Christmas tree and Grace had her trache capped all day, even playing kickball with her trach cap on!
