The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I'd better actually think about what to say!

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

hip deep in pie

I hope ita is well.

One of my new coworkers had boundary issues. Every time I talk or laugh in my cubicle, she asks me what I am saying or what is so funny. Sometimes I am laughing at all y'all. Sometimes it's a bitter, hollow laugh. Or if I am talking to someone else, she wanders over to find out what's up. Not every conversation has to be a group conversation.

Also, she doesn't seem to get the work/not work boundaries. I am friends with people outside work, but it's not always discussed and dissected at work. And she doesn't seem to see the line. It's starting to grate.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's starting to grate.

I vote that you move to The Netherlands.

I am here to report that shirred eggs (thank you again, Burrell) over Turkey Hash is pretty fucking yummy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Trudy, you were in my dream last night. I was need a place to live in NYC and prices were CRAZY and then I thought that mac and I would take 2 rooms in your apartment (not even sure if there are 2 extra rooms in your apartment), but that was the plan in my dream. I was handwaving all the animals and people having enough space.

Ha! I actually DO have two bedrooms besides my own. And I'm sure all the pets would get along just fine.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Heard a loud crash as I was getting out of the shower and saw Nova come tearing into the bedroom. Turns out someone knocked over one of the floor lamps in the computer room.(and broke the bulb) I don't even know....

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Spent 90 minutes pulling weeds and pruning in the yard. Between that and the 4.5 mile run this morning (and yesterday's 20-mile bike ride), I'm wiped out. Can I just stop doing things for the rest of the day?

I dreamt last night that someone, who I think was a Buffista, threw a knife in my direction and hit me in the shoulder blade. Yes, one of you literally stabbed me in the back.

I hear all y'all on the post-vacation stress. Not only is there too much work to do after taking last week off, and coming back from vacation means my house is a mess, but I'm freaking out realizing I only have two more weekends until I leave for Christmas. Which means two weekends to figure out what I'm buying and get it. Ack???

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We are getting down to the end of the semester and CJ is still struggling. His sensei offered to have him do homework at the dojo and work with him...just to try something different. So I sent CJ over there after school. Actually we had a long talk first and then I sent him on. He isn't happy but he is finally frustrated enough. WHY, oh WHY is it so hard to accept help (No, I have no answer to that, why should I expect him to have an answer).

Meanwhile, my tree remains bare. CJ won't be home until after 8pm and I haven't seen K-Bug for about a week. I know I need to give up on my postcard picture of us decorating it together...but geeeeeeesh, kids. This doesn't make Santa very happy...
