Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
First attempt at cookies for the Atomic Books cookie swap. Need better quality chocolate. And more bourbon.
Noah ambushed me with a God question out of the blue after discussing whether cops can go to jail (and I have no idea where that came from either.) With no moms around to rescue me. 'Can God go to jail?' Only people can go to jail. 'Some people think God is yellow.' ...OK. 'No, really!' (Very indignantly!) I believe you! 'So can God be a person?' ....
Before I got too thick in the weeds, he hopped to another topic.
God is yellow? I can't even figure out what that means.
It does add a new wrinkle to Kermit's lament "It's Not Easy Being Green."
Noah is a topic jumper, so if you can wait it out, he'll normally move on.
We went to see our friend Jamie sing Messiah at the Sing-Along. It was good and Noah's first experience with choral singing. He was great. And the cookies after were delicious!
God is yellow? I can't even figure out what that means.

Oh, there you are on the trending page on the mobile app. I guess a good news blog is an easy and non-controversial blog to feature.
It's bananas.
I am pre-emptively exhausted for chorus tomorrow. Maybe I can get a cable appointment for Tuesday morning.... I'm still not clear if my grandmother had her own cable set-up or not, but I can't get it to work down here, and it's terrible!
I miss being able to sing the Messiah. I always have a cold or something this time of year.
The in-laws are leaving a day early due to weather! This means tomorrow morning.
They aren't horrible people, despite my complaining. I just get frustrated because they're smart, well educated, and very well traveled. Yet there's still the casual, unthinking racism, classism, and homophobia. It disappoints me.
Anyway. Tomorrow I get my life back!
It's good you have somewhere to vent, Dana. Inlaws can be tricksy, so to keep the peace is important if you can.
I'm awfully sniffly this morning, so I may have caught my roommate's cold. Especially if Sudafed isn't doing much about it at the moment, and I haven't been stirring up enough dust for this to be allergies. SIGH
