Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

House is about 70% decorated. Hopefully I can get both kids here at the same time to decorate the tree. I don't like doing this by myself, yet I like it when it's done, so I keep plugging away.

Tommy, glad your dad came through surgery well, more healing ~ma out your way.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, Jessimoon, you've had a thoroughly sucky holiday.

Please drive very carefully home while everybody is dressed in bubblewrap, and also in a personal bubble of happy quietude.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so I was super whiny this afternoon and everything sucked and I was the worst and ugly and way way way - oh look, I didn't take my meds for 2 days - anti-anxiety and hormones, not the best to stop. duh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Zenkitty, I feel the same way. My few remaining true love fantasies involve a wonderful man living in a house next door.

"True love lives next door" is one of my favorite fantasies. That, and "house so large we have our own wings".

Behind my well-defined boundaries that I control access through, I mean.

Exactly!

My sister is curled up asleep on my couch. I'm too wound up to sleep. I'm glad the fun weekend is over and we can get back to normal.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Saddlebag houses. You get one side, s/he gets the other, you grill out and have drinks in the breezeway in the middle.

tommy, I'm glad your dad came through surgery okay. Fast and good healing wishes to him.

Steph, I'd give you a shotgun, just to see how high you could make the trash container jump. Wouldn't help, but it might be fun.

Yes, msbelle, one must *take* the meds for them to be efficacious. Never having pulled that trick myself, nossir.

I haven't done one thing to de-fallify the house and get ready for Yuletime, Suzi. You inspire me.

Jessica, hmmm. Not commenting on your relatives, but here, have another little drink.

H is abed, drugged, and padded around with pillows. He's slept most afternoon and evening. I hope he sleeps through the night. I know he needs to rest and recover, I just don't want him roaming the halls at 3AM because he's all "slept out."

I'm going to go look at pretty pictures on Tumblr, and finish this cheap and ordinary, but yummy glass of wine.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Crankybloomers venting: If you KNOW you are contagious with whatever cold misery is going around, don't hang out with people at the social gathering, and for G-d's sake don't prepare food everyone is going to be eating!

So far three of us who were at Thanksgiving are now down with the crud. The plaguebearer's wife kept telling him to go quarantine himself in the bedroom, but he refused to listen. I'm going to kick him in the shins the next time I see him, if I feel well enough by then.

If you need someone to be stern with people apparently I am your girl. Roommate is non confrontational but upset by neighbors' loud party (her room faces them, mine doesn't). I volunteered to go over and yell at people. Seriously, folks, if you have a DJ and sound system set up in your living room, and have neighbors like, 10 feet away? Don't ALSO have a the windows open. Eesh. Talked to several people who were like "no I don't live here and I don't see the guy who does but I'll tell him" and I had to keep insisting I needed to actually talk to him, as I didn't want to have to say "well, I told some guy who said he'd tell you..." Neighbor was nice and reasonable, and closing the windows and keeping te music a bit quieter seems to keep it to reasonable levels. Yay.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Now, that's a roommately thing to do. Mine is down with a cold that she evidently got from Jilli's Thanksgiving, somehow.

I am seriously contemplating going to the 24/7 big grocery store, since I've already been awake for most of an hour and why the hell not.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The day after I moved to Boston, I grocery shopped at 6am. I had gone to bed super early for lack of any entertainment in my apartment, and exhaustion from moving, so why not?

Am glad I'm not moving today in the rain.

I strenuously hope this is the beginning of better weeks for many people here!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry so many people have had crappy weeks.
