Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Woo, Jesse's moving!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Whee, Jesse! My advice on moving day: always set up the bed first (including linens) so that whenever you finally collapse after an over-full day, you have it ready to collapse into.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yes! And set up the shower curtain second, so you can shower tonight (or tomorrow, or whenever you want). And make sure you have TP in the bathroom.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay, Jesse! Happy moving day!

I am supposed to be grading this am so I can pretend to myself I can get it all done by Monday. Hurry coffee, brew brew!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Happy moving!

When we moved from New Mexico to the duplex in Arizona, we did it in two vehicles and I was bringing up the rear. By the time I got there the SO had done the bedroom thing all made and everything and I was so grateful.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I set up music first (to listen while I unpack), then the bed, then bathroom.

Woo hoo! The truck is leaving now. Of course, my parents aren't here yet, but better this way than them hanging around.

Happy Moving and New Home!!!

So, I am hedging my bets on this job happening. (Frankly, my intuition is saying it's a no.) There was a seat sale yesterday on an airline that's just started a St. John's - Dublin route, so I booked a ticket for next September for a very good price. Wheee!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, I hope it happens for you, Sue!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy moving, Jesse!

Fingers crossed, Sue.

So, the surgeon was supposed to call last night to update me; he didn't. H called this morning just to say he survived the night and he missed me, but to stay put. He should be released anytime before noon. And then another call that since it's the weekend, the surgeon could appear anytime, but probably before 5:00. This surgeon, I sincerely hope he surges better than he's reliably people-skilled.

H seems in remarkably good spirits so far. His fingers are a bit puffy but he can wiggle them, and his wrist is (merely) sore. The good drugz, they are working.
