We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Woops: and I had pumpkin pie and a bit of leftover-pastry-roll for breakfast. Not much, though: I'm still full from yesterday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In other news: did people know that the public transit subsidy (where you can use pre-tax dollars to pay your bus/train/subway fares) is being cut in half at New Year? Congress hasn't renewed it, and probably won't. But the pre-tax subsidy for parking is safe.

Yeah, I heard that on NPR. WTF, Congress.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I had some leftover soufganiyot and cornbread for breakfast. (Soufganiyot = Chanukah donuts. My grandmother used to make them. These ones, we got from a vegan food truck, so they're all fancy -- topped with lemon sugar, and filled with raspberry lavender jam.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Those sound awesome, Hil.

Mm, those do sound good. I had a very healthy egg here fritata I made yesterday, but then I had two pieces of toast with lemon curd. Because mmm, lemon curd.

Next I have to go be fitted to my bridesmaid dress by my friend's mom. Who thought being fitted the day after Thanksgiving was a good idea?!?

I want to go shopping but not with crowds. More just want regular "hey I'm on vacation and with a friend lets hit the mall" kind of thing. Not possible this weekend though. Ah well.

Ann, that's a ferret.

On the other hand, if you're out of toilet paper, you gotta get some somewhere. Maybe the grocery stores are quiet....

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

YAWN. Did I really drink almost a whole bottle of wine last night by myself? Yes, I did. Wonder if my eyes will let me put in contacts today.

We're going to gather the rest of the fam and go have brunch at the mountaintop orchard. Apple donuts and cider!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have cleaned up kitchen. still a few more dishes to do, but the counters are mostly cleared.

Decorating will not be until this afternoon. I have decided to get a bunch of donating done today/tomorrow also. all non-vintage clothes that I have not listed on sites to sell - off to the charity store. I have 2 bags ready to go already. Everything else that I have set aside to sell either gets listed today or put into the guest room, out of my living room.

That was the next thought, that maybe no one will be grocery shopping. ;)

Apple donuts and cider sounds delicious. Mmm. The sad part about thanksgiving at someone else's house is no leftovers! Especially pie.
