When it comes to family holidays, it is NEVER too early to start drinking.
This. I am apparently going to a 5pm dinner where there will be assigned seats. We shall see.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Amen to that.
As others have said, I am thankful for you all. I don't always feel like I participate much here, but I love how we all look out for each other in some truly amazing ways.
I got my pies baked yesterday, and this morning, I experimented with the leftover pie dough. If all goes well, I'll have some yummy apricot-bourbon pop tarts to share - or not share, depending on how delicious they are.
I'm thankful for all of you, too. And a general lack of mice. But mostly y'all.
Thankful for you all!
I slept in and missed some of the parade. am not Thankful for that.
My family totally understands that I am the traditionalist with regard to holidays, so eating start time is up to me. SO nice and laid back compared to what I hear from so many others.
In the Macy's parade, Fallout Boy is performing on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles float. That's not a combination I would ever have predicted.
I was just thinking Pete Wentz was probably thrilled when he found out.
I'm already looking forward to the Dog Show. We're not going to my parents' till 3 or so.
I love the dog show! But we still need to watch "Pangs," so I don't know if the dog show will happen.
My kids were SO EXCITED about The Roots and The Muppets. (They love Jimmy Fallon.)
I actually squeaked when I realized they were singing "Come and Play," and Sara asked if I was all right.
I still need to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Pangs. Maybe this evening.
Happy Thanksgiving! I am grateful for buffistas.
As to drinking, I am startng the day with coffee, lots of coffee. Wine will have to wait until later when I'm reheating the turkey.
PS is it just me who feels like heating the turkey and the ham and making a bunch of the sides TOTALLY FEELS LIKE COOKING? Just checking.
