Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I feel if I buy another one, it's too much. If I take any of my six home cables anywhere, I'll have too few here.
But clearly I'm not coping, so shopping it is.

This is where I ended up. Yes, it's overkill. But I am way less stressed and frustrated. So, really, it was just enough kill.

If you start making historical accuracy a goal, where do you stop?

Somewhere before starvation and rampant disease, I hope.

I'm gonna fish this wine

I like some oak in my Chardonnay sometimes but I am iffy about fished wine.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

This is why Friendsgivings exist. IJS.

Seriously. If you want to jump ship at the last minute and fly down here, I would totally drop everything to come to the airport and get you. Or maybe send S to the airport. Either way, we've got you covered if you suddenly find a need to be 4 or 5 decent-sized states away.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy Hannukah peoples!

I made pumpkin pie today, so there will pie tomorrow for sure. Not making anything else until tomorrow since we are eating late anyway.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm having a friend over for Friendsgiving. We're practising the custom of our people and getting takeout from Boston Market. Then she's going to watch the Dog Show on my TV and I will play with her dogs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy American Thanksgiving!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just a small amount of ungratefulness today: When I wake up too early, I'm now afraid it's because my phone has rung, so I have to get up and check. I'm hoping I sleep well after Christmas...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Turns out I got up about three hours before I really needed to, but now it's too late to go back to bed. Yawn.

not your mom's socks.

Because it doesn't go without saying: I am thankful for you all.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What Sox said.

Also what Zen said. I really want to go back to bed but we have a play date at the dog park in 45 minutes.

Because books.

Also thankful for this place and all of you.

And pie.
