My friend David is now my most favourite person on the planet. He just sent me a copy of Blue Nights signed by Joan Didion. He`s only been holding onto for a year and a half without telling me. (He interviewed her.) I will even forgive him how long it took to send it to me.
I still regret not going down to watch the interview, but this makes up for it.

Ugh. Did you know that you can get away with saying "Well, we can't replicate it, so we won't fix it" for as long as six months? I'm trying to put an end to that time period, but it looks like I have to have the same argument all over again. The first time got me as agitated as I've gotten talking to a peer in quite a while. Agog-agitated, if you will.
