It's maybe different because we were drinking too, but I swear I've seen it in the US too--parents using their kids as bartenders? Maybe not mixing fancy drinks, but opening wine, pouring beer and champagne properly, mixing liquor+chaser--we'd be asked to do that just like we'd be asked to get guests water or anything else to drink, and sometimes when my parents were feeling lazy we'd do it for them when there's no company.
So she could use it for that! If they're stuck in the wilderness, but her mother still wants a Pinot Grigio--she'll be Girl Guide prepared.
Have you already decided between Victorinox and Wenger?
(a) It's a boy cousin, (b) Wegner?
Oh, yes. Boy cousins. I forget people have those.
In the real world, I think I'm going to walk to the fancy smoke/gift shop around the corner and see if they sell any, and then pick from those.
Oh, yes. Boy cousins. I forget people have those.
Me too! He's my only one on both sides, including my generation and their kids. Oh wait, there is a boy child of a first cousin of mine in California. See? I forget!
Just curious. They have pretty much the same (multitudinous) offerings, I think.
Man, I used to love selling swiss army knives. So many fiddly options to choose between.
I know my mom was taught to make martinis for my grandfather, although in our house bartending consisted of getting my dad a beer from the fridge (which we certainly did very young). Just not a cocktail kind of household. I feel like people mention that kind of things in a "ha, ha, of course we don't do that" tone these days.
And I realize that I have never taken the legal drinking age seriously, that's just the culture I grew up in, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me on corkscrews appropriateness.
I wish I could get one that wasn't ginormous with scissors, phillips head, and a corkscrew, but I think that is not possible.
Take a look at Leatherman tools, Jesse.
Go Victorinox, choose Victorinox.
I still have my old Super Tinker, but my regular pocket knife for the last ten years has been a Leatherman Squirt S4.
