"gray collar workers"
I thought it was a euphemism for people paid off the books (or under the table -- some prepositional phrase, for sure) for their labor, in an attempt to make every category of worker into some sort of "collar." Because isn't "pink collar" a thing, or wasn't someone trying to make it a thing? (Stop trying to make "fetch" happen!)
Pink collar are secretaries
Pink collar are secretaries
And nurses and teachers, right?
Pink Collar is totally a thing -- the phrase goes back to the 70s, and it's pretty widely used/understood.
I'm still at work because I'm going to a thing that starts at 7 and there's really no point in going home first. This means I can sit at my desk playing Tiny Death Star for the next half-hour, right?
I'm the pajama collar category of worker.
The pajama game, that's the game I'm in
And I'm proud to be, in the pajama game, I love it.
Timelies all!
I don't know if there's a collar category for lab work. (Lab coats come in many colors these days, and not all types have collars.)
Crap, I can't decide if I want to go out tonight, or bail on my friends. I think going out will be better than not, but now that I am home, I just want to stay here! Ah well.
Also, it's too bad my mother and I have several opposite opinions about how to handle stuff at the hospital.
