Foo, Aurelia, what was it?
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Mumford & Sons did a cover of I'm On Fire at Lollapalooza. I was watching the webcast.
Timelies all!
Quiet day here.
I think I'd work my way up with a Running Of The Calves event first.
I don't run. I'll be in the Tumble With Kittens event.
NPR just said the announcement of the new Doctor is as important as the royal baby. That's...about right, actually.

I dunno--some guy's salary rides on this too.
I wonder what the betting volumes were for each. Maybe after I shower I'll look it up.
I swear to god, some of my nightclothes are food magnets. This silk nightshirt? Just made a play for my oatmeal. That really comfy pair of black men's pyjama pants with a grey grid? Three days, max. Whereas I never spill anything on my pink stuff.
HMMM.
I realised this morning that I'd been doing the Alton Brown steelcut oats recipe wrong. But I don't think it's to a bad end, although I will follow the instructions next go round (Thursday, by my calculation) and see. For the "add boiling water" step, I was using 2 cups, not 3. I was re-milking it every time I reheated some, but I'm not expecting porridge to come out of the fridge in the right texture.
(Steel cut oats love carrots. I always forget this, for some reason...)
There's a new Doctor?
Stephen is making buttermilk pancakes, and they smell delicious.
I had a dream last night in which Colin Ferguson was the new Doctor.
I did not dream about the royal baby.
I think I will have an actual hot cup of coffee this morning, and pancakes.

I think I'm moving to your dream world, at least for a while.
