See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Also, bleh bleh bleh. Someone on FB for whom I have lots of fondness and respect (not a Buffista) is, my feed tells me, commenting approvingly on an anti-vaxxer's status. Not cosigning to the full-tilt crazy, but sure as sure not pushing back against it. It's very unsettling.

information libertarian

My mother sent a small package of gifts, and among the things for me is a pair of pantyhose. L'eggs Sheer Energy in suntan. WTF? I distinctly recall the last time I wore pantyhose, and it was to a wedding in 2002. And I am not a "suntan" colored girl.

Good luck, Theo.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Congrats, Laga!

preposition

Like Jess' squirrel and tree, I was taught "anything a cat can do to a ladder", up, down, around, on, in, of, over, through, under, at, beside, and so on.

ETA: Best of luck, Theo!

brillig

I think my problem with the grammar is partly that the terms for the parts of speech often don't make sense. "Preposition"--what does that mean? What part of that word describes what those words do? "This is the word we use to describe this group of words" doesn't help my mind connect the information together.

And "transitive" and "intransitive" verbs. I couldn't tell you the difference between those types of verbs to save anyone's life.

Woot! Which ones? You'll definitely need to give a heads up on pub dates (so to speak) so I can keep an eye out.

I love that your doing this now. So. Perfect.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Meeting less traumatic than I was worried about, but nothing settled, so there'll be more to come. All the same, I think I'm feeling relief that the ball is rolling and things will be Settled, eventually.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

"Preposition"--what does that mean?

I always think of it as a word that usually comes before (pre) a noun to show where another noun is or will be (position).
