Yikes, Tim, stop with the bleeding!
I did my stint at the food bank, where I bagged oranges for three hours. And then I took Dad to see Singin' in the Rain at a local theater, and out for dinner. Which, there are worse ways to spend a day.
Got a nice rejection from the firm I interviewed with a few weeks ago, and reminded them that I'm available for short-term work if they need anything. And a friend kindly forwarded my resume to someone she knows at another firm I applied to last week. I'm hoping something will come through, because all the studies say six months out of work is when employers stop calling you back...
Tim~ma!
Poor Tim, no one wants to win the Worst Birthday Competition.
What She Said.
Fingers crossed, Consuela.
Much job~ma, Consuela!
Much stop-bleeding~ma to Tim. Bleeding gums are a truly sucky birthday present.
Poor Tim, no one wants to win the Worst Birthday Competition.
To be fair, I think Trudy has this one sewn up, pretty much forever.

Yeah, unexpected bleeding doesn't come close to 9/11.
The tea bag trick stopped the bleeding after an hour or so, and it's still okay this morning, but he just called the periodontist and they want to see him this afternoon anyway, which I think is a good thing.
Man, when your loved one starts producing large amounts of blood (well, comparatively -- for a mouth, that was a whole fucking LOT), it's freaky as hell. I stayed calm externally for Tim's sake (and because freaking out accomplishes nothing), but Jesus Christ, that scared the shit out of me.
I'm glad the tea bag trick worked!
It's like magic. Well, slow magic.
I'm glad to hear Tim is doing better. That sounded like all kinds of scary.
