I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

Because books.

I hope he's okay, Steph!

This David Blaine special on ABC is freaking me out. I really don't know how he does this stuff. I thought Harrison Ford was going to cry, he was so astounded.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Poor Tim! Be well! And stop bleeding!

It's contraindicated (did I use that word right?)

You did indeed!

He's doing the tea-bag trick to see if that slows/stops the bleeding (get a tea bag damp and bite down or hold it on the bleeding spot; tannins in black tea constrict blood vessels, which makes bleeding stop). It seems like it's helping, so hopefully we can avoid the ER.

His periodontist returned my very worried voice mail, and said the tea bag trick is the best thing, and maybe tomorrow Tim will need to come in to get an extra stitch put in. He said it sounds like whatever clot had formed since Friday just got jostled loose; it happens sometimes.

Poor Tim. It's his birthday and we were going to eat cake after SHIELD was over. Not so much now.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Poor Tim, no one wants to win the Worst Birthday Competition. Fingers crossed that you can avoid the ER. Cake can wait for tomorrow if need be.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Are green and purple a fashion crime?

No! Um, not in my world. I live for those colors. But I get that others have issues, truly. Still, green and purple are AMAZING.

Punishingly Intricate

That is NOT fun birthday times! Hope the teabag works and that he can enjoy birthday cake tomorrow.

The first part of the class I'm in all week is over and was way easier than I was worried it might be. Now I'm worried about the second part which starts tomorrow! It's always something! Actually, what I'm most worried about is that the lady who was in the class will continue to not shut the fuck up. She was the worst! She talked all through the class, constantly while the instructors were also talking. Argh! I was trying to be super patient, I gave her some dirty looks but didn't yell at her like I wanted, because maybe she had some kind of issue? And she clearly was having a hard time figuring out how to do ANYTHING. But I don't know if I can take two more days of her. I wrote about her in the course evaluation we did today because, really, the instructors should have said something.

But man, *I* want cake, too!

This self-sacrificial marriage stuff blows.

Caaaaaaaaaake.
