Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Currently sitting in the Neil Grayston talk/Q&A at Shore Leave. He's telling a story about flashlight wars between him and Colin.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm all for laurel resting, personally.

Then again, I feel all accomplished because I kept up with my TV watching schedule this week. My judgement may be suspect.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I support your priorities, -t.

So I guess I just have a little cold, which might be more annoying than a bad one? There's no real reason I couldn't be getting stuff done today, but I don't wanna, even more than usual!

Yeah, whenever I am fighting a little cold for a while, if I lose and I actually get sick enough to stay in bed and recover it's kind of a relief. But also the unpleasantness of a bad cold and you just have to wait it out, so the relief doesn't last long.

I forgot I am meeting someone for coffee this afternoon. I have to take a shower and get dressed! But not right this second.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have a predecessor of the bag you linked to, ita, which I have had for almost 10 years, and it is just now starting to show its age. I am going to be sad when I need to replace it

I have a bunch of handbags and like the idea of changing what I carry frequently SO MUCH but I've been stuck in a rut of the black and white bag that goes with everything for months. I should put more energy into mixing it up.

WTF, man. I just jumped through 1000 hoops to apply for a job at Local University, and at the last stage, they said it wasn't open any more! I applied for another one as well, while I was at it, but it doesn't pay as well.

brillig

Found another nifty BBC series on You Tube: Restoration Home. It follows the restoration of 6 "listed" houses, historically significant buildings that brave people have bought are trying to restore. The first episode is an old church, where the owners were only able to buy the nave, not the attached medieval tower, and the burials are still in place, and the church sits on an island in the middle of an island.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I skipped an event today because I woke up feeling bad. 1. I feel bad. 2. No one would be happy if I shared.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh the Bronies are the talk of the town right now. I haven't watched this but a bunch of friends posted it as a good explanation of the phenominom: [link]

Huh. Okay, then.

It has taken me 5 days to catch up after my vacation. I drove all over MO visiting family, 6 of whom were born since the last time I visited. The babies were all very cute, the adults seemed happy to see me, and I managed to avoid all political discussion. I'm calling it a win.

Oh, and my 13 yr old nephew is now 6'4" and wears size 15 shoes with no signs of slowing. I played trac ball [link] with him on Sunday and my forearms are still tender. It's a good thing he also likes playing cards and board games or he'd have killed me.
