I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know, since I'm not a lawyer and don't know Chicago well, possibly the most unrealistic thing for me about The Good Wife is how everyone calls her "Mrs. Florrick" all the time. Don't most people assume Ms. in the professional world now??

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Sure, but she's also like the most famous wife in Chicago.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I guess that's true. I would still never call Silda Wall "Mrs. Spitzer"! Possibly because I don't think her name is Spitzer, but whatevs.

The status is NOT quo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, darling Jilli!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Have I not said Happy Jilli Day, yet? I think I have not. Many happy returns, and lots of pink, sparkly bats, Jilli!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Thank you! I'm having a really good day, and we're going to go have dinner with a bunch of friends in about half an hour.

Aw, happies.

You know what is hilarious? Getting my dad to use facetime for the first time as mom skypes my brother after he called the both of us when we were talking to each other on the landlines.

I think my parents just blew their own minds.

Also? My parents agree that my itouch camera weirdly renders my face. My nose isn't that big, and dad agrees I "don't look that horsey" IRL.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Also, I just caught up on Scandal. Damn, Shonda is twisty and effed up.

Right?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Today I cleaned the bathroom (which I hate doing) and Swiffered all the floors. It's not quite cleaning ALL THE THINGS, but it's a healthy start.

I didn't get to watch Almost Human because my parents called just before it started. I'm hoping it'll be on Hulu early enough that I can watch before the new ep tomorrow. And I hope I like it as I am rather fond of JH Wyman.
