You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Saying "Paul Ryan" would probably be evil and wrong, right, Ginger? But, okay, maybe someone could make him *think* he had metastatic cancer for a month or two... it could be like the food-stamp challenge, but scarier.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I need cooking help again. Pete picked up pre-made shrimp and grits cakes from WF. How should I cook them? Pan fry? Bake?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

They didn't come with instructions?

Man, biting into a pear that I'm not sure is ripe and finding that it is is a really wonderful feeling.

Nope. Pre-made fresh stuff that is purchased at the meat and fish counters never come with instructions. WHICH IS VERY FRUSTRATING.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Pan-fry, not too high of heat. Flip til nicely brown on both sides.

hip deep in pie

My 6th period is taste testing chocolate including ones with cracked pepper, chili, bacon, beef jerky and BBQ potato chips.

I've tried most of those. I made bacon fudge for my last dinner and Downton.

Jesse, your new place moves fast! Where I work, from interviewing to hiring often takes weeks.

I just saw Michael Ondaatje speak. (Except I was in the overflow room.) It was so great. I want to write novels and travel the world and listen to jazz now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, your new place moves fast! Where I work, from interviewing to hiring often takes weeks.

Yeah, it feels crazy fast to me, but it was actually four steps, each a week apart.

Ugh, sara. Teeth are the worst. Is our new piecemeal way really better than false teeth? I wonder. (I mean, I assume that's why so few people have dentures now, compared to my grandparents' generation. Fluoride and whatever has to be part of it, too, I guess.)

Also your dinner sounds delicious, Jilli.

Where I work, from interviewing to hiring often takes weeks.

Mine took three months from tentative hire to a start date. And six weeks more until I actually was finally cleared. Totally stress free. Not.
