I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

From an ad for an unpaid internship posting:

For this internship you will be working on editing a book that the CEO wrote. The book which was published when the CEO was only 18 years old is in need of editing, grammar checking, etc. which can be completed by an intern. Please be sure to check the requirements below to make sure that you qualify for the internship.

After completing the editing portion of the book, you will have the option to have your name published in the book as an editor - FOR FREE! The book is sold in Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Sears, Kmart, eBay, and other online retailers.

Exciting! Totally worth not being paid!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like that the person who wrote the ad knows you still might not want to have your name associated with the book...

Thanks, y'all. I think (hope!) it's a really good move. Although the people who work there keep warning me about how fucked up it is. But then, the people who work at my current job kept warning me about how fast-paced and overwhelming it is, and everyone here works 9-5. So.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Exciting! Totally worth not being paid!

I am shaking in my freelance boots hoping to get that gig.

Congratulations, Jesse!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Congrats, Jesse!

The guy wrote the book when he was only 18! It must be brilliant.

Well, DUH. He's the CEO of the company!

The ad says the book was published when the CEO was 18, and implies the book is currently being sold. So is this for a new edition? Something doesn't make sense.
