Jess! Do you have a relative in the Cincinnati area named Sally? A friend apparently knows her. (I found this out last night, and when he said her last name, I was all, "Waaaaait a minute. WORLDS ARE COLLIDING.")

Because books.

Happy birthday, Hil!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If it's the same Sally, that's my mom's first cousin. Does she have a sister named Lela?

Has a farm? Or lives in a rural area? (I didn't catch all the details.) My friend has his own machine shop, and I think he builds things for her.

t edit I don't know about a sister. My friend just mentioned her name and that she lives out in a rural area, sort of off the grid.

That sounds like her! [edit, and she spells it Sallie]

Here's a mention of her farm in Cincinnati Magazine (scroll down):

That has to be her, based on the location. Small world, man. (Also, I eat at several of the restaurants she supplies. That's pretty cool.)

not your mom's socks.

Happy Birthday, Hil!

Thanks again for the ~ma. A couple more scans to come that I'm trying hard not to worry about, and a new perscription (yes there was a bit of new-drug freakout, but no, I did not bring the blue-confetti explosion to the board this time. YET.) Hopefully this all just falls under 'weird chemistry,' per usual. I could live with that. Fingers are crossed.

Meantime, the madness continues at casa Sox. HPF seems desperate to get a retainer/orthodontia. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT. (what is up is that all her friends have them. I kind of remember wanting braces for the same reason. boy was _that_ a rude wakeup.)

You can shoot me an email if you'd like me to look stuff up for you. I don't mind. And I feel you on weird chemistry. The list of drugs that cause a hypersensitivity reaction in me is getting embarrassingly long.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you're shopping for fridges, you'd be remiss not to take this report into consideration.

Man, I carefully sorted my meds this morning and forgot to put the pack in my bag. I have two med packs, and the other one has some meds, so I won't panic or bolt home in rush hour traffic, but DAMN. This is my life. Why can't I work it?
