Holy cats I got two calls this afternoon wanting answers to complicated questions by Tuesday (Monday is a holiday here). I was all alone in the office. I swear my clients wait until Friday at 3, then they pick up the phone.

wrod.

Then there's the ones who say "Screw it, it's Friday, I"m out of here," then swamp the place Monday morning.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Because I am nothing if not obsessed, I emailed the people at elfster asking why I could no longer see my history.

I want to have more people in the exchange this year THAN EVER BEFORE (echo echo echo).

There might be shenanigans afoot.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, so they were calling references today. Now I'm scared, partly because I'm just at the beginning of two big projects and I would feel bad about leaving them (and their opportunities for success). But I think I want the job!

For the first time since mid May, the workload has been light enough to actually give the tech support the hour lunch we're supposed to have. I'll miss the overtime, but damn, it's good to have a large chunk of time to sit at peace.

The only downside to a lighter workload is that it gives me time for my brain to slip out of work mode, and I resent the next call even more for taking me out of rest mode.

But I'll manage. Things should be quieter for the next couple of months.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Oh, has anyone used those Dr. Scholl's gel insoles

I tried them once, they were okay in terms of cushioning, but my feet very quickly got far too hot for comfort. I think I gave up after about five minutes.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.
