Elderly cat woke me with polite meowing this morning after 5 AM. I may have forgotten to feed her last night, because her bowl was completely empty. She actually sat on top of my bed (with me in it) for a while before she gave up and started meowing from the hall again.
At any rate, I'm up and since the house-cleaner is going to get here soon, I should probably get dressed.
In the shooting at the mall last night, they're not reporting that the only one dead is the gunman, and no reported injuries. I'm not quite sure what happened, then, since they said he was carrying a rifle, so pretty unlikely that he killed himself with that.
edit: the reports are now saying that he shot himself with a "22 caliber assault-style rifle."
And there is no problem with guns in this country....

Speaking of things we don't have a problem with in this country, I had to have a follow up mammogram on one boob (all is well) and after my generally quite good insurance I'm still being billed $500. All the pink in the world doesn't make that affordable for a huge swathe of people, let alone if you don't have insurance.
