Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

For some reason there are Safeways aplenty in Nor Cal but there's none in LA, or at least there's none near my house so I never shop there. Once I learned that all 50 thousand grocery store chains are actually owned by like 5 companies, I stopped caring so much which chain I actually shopped at. Now my choices are strictly based on proximy, pricing, and what's stocked.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Wholefoods near work has live music on Fridays. It's annoyingly full of people not shopping, not moving through the aisles.

I've seen the yoga classes advertised, but never worked out where they take place.

Isn't Von's Safeway out in LA?

I'm hurry-up-and-waiting today. Funtimes.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Safeways are Vons. And vice versa. I still use the clubcard I had from Safeway in Washington DC (Why yes, I shopped at the Social Safeway there or the Not-So-Safeway when I lived in SW) when I moved here and shopped Vons. I also used the same card when I lived in Palo Alto.

X-post

Burrell, when do you need the coat?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In Chicago they're called Dominick's. And I still use my card from the DC Soviet Safeway.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hahaha! I forgot about the nicknames for the DC Safeways! Good times.

Ooh, and the Secret Safeway....aww, good times. I don't like to give them my info so I use my BFF's number or my parents'. ;)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh it is such a Monday. I missed doing something on Thursday. Messed things up. Lecture from the boss with no solutions (the only kid we get around here).

I am scrambling in my office trying to pay bills as fast as I can since I was buried in other things the last two weeks and have not even looked at the ones sent to me. Also - they are cluttering my desk and my boss HATES a cluttered desk.

SO the race is on to get as much cleared off desk as possible while still trying to also do what I think are the most important tasks on my plate.

I really should have just put in a couple hours of work yesterday, it would have helped a bunch.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Do web marketers even read the websites they contact? Today brought the second very earnest email from a marketing person who wants to talk to me about a collaboration opportunity involving GCS. Their client would provide guest editorials and a banner for the site! Which, okay, standard offer from marketers, but adameve.com does not really suit my target demographic. "Hi babybats, here's how to reassure your parents about being a goth, and here's a link to buy sex toys!"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought Goth was essentially a sexual preference. It isn't??? (jk jk jk)
