I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I had no really cute or good costumes. ninjas, an Ariel, tourists, other non-memorable stuff. I game out handfuls of candy and still have half a bowl.

YAY SUE!!! fingers crossed for you! (even though it is not Texas)

I am going on a short roadtrip with one of my friends at the crack ass of pre-dawn tomorrow (3:30). We are a bit silly about it. It is for her oldest step-son's band competition (big deal actually and his school band is often State champions - btw - this will be mac's school). We plan to have lots of coffee and loud music and possibly some outlet shopping on the way back around noon.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I wish all you guys with leftover candy could come and live here - we passed several houses with signs up saying "Sorry, no more candy!!" and one where the woman had run out of candy and started handing out dimes.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Gingerbread plum clafoutis. I am SO making this. Possibly today, if I can get some decent plums. (It's a gluten-free recipe, so it calls for brown rice flour, but my guess is that you could use AP flour if you don't need to be GF).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, gingerbread anything! Marked for later.

Sounds pretty good, Sue. Good luck!

And the road trip sounds like a blast, msbelle. I am pro-silliness like that, for sure.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My coworker was one with a sign up fairly early! She moved recently, so didn't know what to expect.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hey, wasn't this Hil's cousin? It's still going around! [link]

Yep, it was! It was published as a book, too. [link]

Not too surprisingly, this is the same cousin who asked her mother a few days ago if they had a compass and a thermometer, because she and her friends wanted to go to the cemetery and "search for physical and photographic evidence of ghosts."

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

I had zero trick-or-treaters last night, so after one night's indulgence I brought my bag of candy to work to inflict it on other people's waistlines.

ION, I feel that The Toast's regular Femslash Friday feature may be of interest to some people here. Today's is about Leslie Knope and Ann Perkins. [link]
