It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Oh, Burrell, I'm so sorry for you and all your family. Be kind to yourselves, please.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Looks like oat flour is a thickener too. I'm using that in my soup, double the volume of cornstarch called for.

We'll see...

Holland Roden was bashful in comparison--she was one of many doing tacky photo ops at "Pow Wow" party.

brillig

I am at the Anger stage of my vacation--"I don't want to go back to work! Why does this happen?"

I don't have much hope for teh bargaining stage, as vacation is only good when you're being paid for it, and to have that you have to have a job. Perhaps the Acceptance stage will kick in before I actually have to go back to work on Sunday.

I really LOVE what they're doing with blankets this season--it's such a bold move, especially in conjunction with colour blocking¹

¹ What are the nuances here? How is colour blocking different from grabbing a navy pants, yellow blouse, white bag, and black shoes (aka me while being pattern averse, getting ready for a day out that doesn't involve super hero shirts. But colour blocking...that sounds cool I want to know how to do that.

During lunch break, I took extra time to look at people who were wearing clothes, and which ones were wearing outfits. I wondered how many were like me--wearing that one thing they like and a bunch of other stuff that doesn't suck.

If my photo a day project (whoops! still haven't posted today) was about my clothes, this would be hella boring hella quick.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think for color blocking you need to have more than one color in an article of clothing, but not in a print or pattern. Maybe a yellow blouse with a navy pocket?

But that is just what I have made up. I was trying to pay attention to contextual clues when I did so, but still.

I absolutely do this. Both the avid watching and the wanting to wearing x and then having the rest of my clothes basically solving for x.

Swim was short by kid barfing in lessons.

Past two days I have NOT wanted to go to the pool. Yesterday, the guy who opens the Y wasn't there, so I left 15 minutes in. Today, lifeguard wasn't there. If I had packed gym shoes I could have biked it, but instead I went and had coffee. WTF?

Yet, I am also really proud that I went. I feel like I did my part but the failure was on Y staff members so it "counts" as effort put forth by me. If someone were keeping a count.

I earwormed myself with "I Just Had Sex," Kat. Totally still counts.

Hey, you still have cookies I bought. Though if you consider me a really bad Girl Scout cookie buyer and eat them or something, I would understand. I need to come see you and get them before that happens. Plus, hey, see you! I could do an LA day or two.
