You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe I'll become the person in my family who buys the Pepperidge Farm turnovers, now that it's not my grandmother. (I had the most vivid dream with her in it last night -- I've never had a dream like that before.)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got to one of my classes today and realized that I hadn't brought enough copies of the quiz I was giving. (I had MADE enough copies, and then left half of them on my desk.) There wasn't time to go back to my office and get the other copies. The building I was in had the department office of another department, though, so I went in there, found someone, explained the situation, and asked if I could use their copying machine. She said no. It was for department use only. I begged. She found someone higher-up, and after a lot more pleading on my part, I was allowed to make the copies, but with a warning that this would be the ONLY time I would be allowed to, and that this could not be a regular thing.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, remember that roasted broccoli soup lisah linked to over the weekend? I think I like it better without the cheese. I never thought I would type those words!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

But nothing happens when I refresh that page?

I wonder how many people just keep refreshing, over and over and over and over?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Burrell.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wonder how many people just keep refreshing, over and over and over and over?

What they don't know is that it's linked to arewepostracialyet.net and won't change first.

After the abject failure of the almond oat flour recipe I gave oat flower peanut butter brownies a chance, and...they're not bad. They're not *great*, but they are low gly chunks of chocolatey chewiness, so I'm calling it a win.

A coworker was feeling put out yesterday that she hadn't been there for the pie, so she tried to set up a pot luck for this Friday and sign me up for pie (I told her I gave pie to people who were nice to me, so she needn't hold her breath). After complaining that I refused to meet her schedule (I told her to pot without me, I'd be fine), she then told me that I couldn't bring pie because someone else was bringing chocolate cake.

You know how some people are more tiring than the average? Yeah...

Anyway, I will need to try the brownies again and find the correct baking time. Texture is often compromised by putting them back in the oven after cooling for ten minutes, I find.
