Happy birthday, Good Stuff, too! You know, I subscribe via RSS and don't actually click on the posts most of the time because, I don't know, reasons, but just scrolling past and seeing the subject lines usually gives me a lift.

The Lucky ones are a win for me because their medium rise stays above my panty line at all times.
I should check those out!
I love the blue cut, but now all of their jeans have stretch in them. I just want some damned denim!
I don't understand why people think stretch would be slimming. I need the material to hold its own shape, not conform to mine!
So, mr. flea brought home 150 pieces of trick or treat candy tonight (from a run to the store to get toilet paper.) I said, "But, we don't get any trick or treaters." He said, "We don't?" I swear to god, does he pay ANY attention to the world around him? He was here the last two Halloweens when we had no trick or treaters!
In general, I am feeling like the all I do is clean the house, cook food, make people eat and brush their teeth, and I am the only adult around here.
So, of course, I am eating all the candy.
A *little* bit of stretch can make them more comfortable. But it has to be a tiny amount -- and the denim has to be sturdy enough -- or they cling. Hate that.
Sounds like you need the candy, flea!

As I age, that becomes more and more of an issue. I can't wear lightweight or close-fitting stretchy dresses anymore, either...
I miss the weight of good quality denim: the material in most of the jeans nowadays is very thin, and lightweight. Too much so.
I'm looking at the jeans in the Garnet Hill catalog: they have a line of slim-but-not-skinny jeans that look pretty good.

Works for Spanx, dunnit? It's not supposed to stretch to show what you really look like, it's supposed change how you look.

Yeah. My confusion is I used to always be very pear-shaped. And now I'm heavier than I used to be, and while my ass is still bigger than my top, somehow ALL the weight went to my middle. From my smallest, I've gained about two- three inches in my bust and hips, but six inches in my waist. So I'm never sure what will fit and/or flatter.
Jessica London has a couple pretty sweater dresses right now. Buying jeans is almost as bad as buying a swimsuit, for me. I have a pair of flare-leg jeans that I'm still stubbornly wearing because they're the most comfortable pair I have.
