Sort of relatedly, I was just reading the Best American Mystery Stories from 2008, and the stories were alpha by author, and still both the first and the last were about Katrina. It makes me wonder if Pelecanos (the editor) didn't game his selections a little.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Tumblr's only been around since 2007. Damn, don't some things just feel ubiquitous? When did FB start allowing everyone in? I remember getting in because I had a UCLA email address, or some bullshit.
Tumblr was around when my first set of kids at my new school graduated. And they have already graduated from college now.
I had the worst swim ever today. It actually made me crabby.
Burrell, you are in my thoughts.
Jesse, did you get the tumblr birthday message today? Because I just got one (3 too) for my fanart account, and I didn't even know they did that.
I did!
I got one today, too. That's weird.
Is it all our anniversary? THAT would be weird.

Lent my hat to a friend for the country themed festival at work. Looked so good on her I told her to keep it. It wasy gypsy/traveler hat that I got in England when I was in college, and though I love it, it doesn't fit on my head anymore and just looks handsome on my coat hook nowadays. Went for broke and gave her my crotcheted swede jacket too. Man I live that jacket. But it would be years if I ever fit into it again.
I feel like there was a shoutout to Steph on The Amazing Race: pazcki!
