Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

I think my extent of dressing up will be plopping my tiara on my head. I do have a hair appointment on the 31st, so I know my gal will notice. Beyond that...we don't even get trick or treaters.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't think I've had a trick-or-treater since I lived in a townhouse in DC in 1995. I thought some might come when there were kids in my apartment building in Queens, but no.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Baby!Ferg won't be dressed for the holiday, but I say put on the Batman onesie, even if it's for six months (he's pretty tiny) and call that a day. Also, send pictures to Tita.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Apparently all I had to do was post about it to motivate me to get this costume together. Will post prelim pics soon.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ's been diligently sewing Matilda's costume for the last week, including taking it out to today's soccer game where Jacqueline stitched away at it.

Matilda is going as Suki, the Kyoshi Warrior, from Avatar: The Last Airbender (the animated version, 'natch).

Suki, front and center.

Fancy, msbelle. What colors?

I bought $50+ of candy tonight. It *might* last until I'm the one done. My neighbor and I are going to sit on our front porches and drink while handing out candy. It's easier than negotiating the door without taking out any kids in the process. Plus alcohol and conversation! We're gonna see if we can get another neighbor to bring us takeout burgers and join us.

Horrid, horrid swim. This crick in my neck is brutal. I resorted to icyhot and it isn't reaching deep enough.

Gotta bleed the radiators (after I borrow a key,) clean and remove the ac tomorrow. And TJs.

I put my scary cat and rat decals on my front door. They make me happy. They're just silhouettes, but fun. Also replaced the batteries on another neighbor's smoke detector. It's beeps were making her cat crazy and she's out of town. I'm taller than her, it was easier for me. She leant me her car so many times when I was in the car-trouble era, it's peanuts. Oh, and I aired up the tires on my car so it will stop nagging at me. Picky little egg.
