I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think I missed something.

Sorry, I just dropped that in with no context. The context is: I was watching csi and therefore listening to The Who and for once paid some attention to the lyrics.

Go all y'all with the doing of things! I will probably not be joining you but consider the pom poms shaken.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Punishingly Intricate

I'm eating an apple AND drinking apple cider! Going to the market feels like a huge accomplishment since we were out late hween partying.

Kate! I keep meaning to tell you that there's an Atomic Books coming to your town! East Nashville, I guess? I'm not sure of all the details but I think we may be coming down sometime this spring to celebrate the opening!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I understand loving the character, but...blackface? REALLY? Does the woman not have any sense, or at least friends who said "WHOA -- bad idea. REALLY BAD IDEA."

The status is NOT quo.

Don't read the comments. I just...you would think I would have learned by now, but no.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm in the middle of an all-day chorus retreat. Good times?

Oh, dear sweet FSM. I don't know that actress, but indeed--has she no friends to tell her what a bad idea that is?

Me, I went for a run this morning--first time in several weeks, since my plantar fasciitis had been giving me a lot of trouble. I think it went okay: my foot is not flaring up again, yay. The down side is that I'd lost a lot of aerobic conditioning, and had to walk a lot. Still, yay running!

I also have a cake in the oven to help celebrate my sister's birthday. This afternoon we'll go for a bike ride and then later we'll get barbecue and watch the Red Sox and eat carrot cake. So it'll be a good day, hopefully.

And now I have to go back to Steinbeck: I have to finish reading East of Eden by Tuesday, and I'm only halfway through. Long book! Beautifully written, but very long!

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Happy to discover I've lost another pound since last weigh-in, which is probably really more like 2 or 3 since I weighed myself just after eating a big breakfast and am still carrying yesterday's food around as well. Not bad for skipping my walks a couple times due to weather and migraines. At this rate I'll know in a couple of weeks whether or not 208 lbs. is still an effective minimum that my metabolism won't let me drop below.

Close to 30 bulbs planted! I only lost a few to rot over the summer. Also raked and swept the sidewalk.

Market was good, not too cold. Gonna veg a bit before swimming.
