All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was gonna have pie for breakfast, but I pulled out the non-wheat flours in my cupboard to see what a) recipes were on the package and b) what other uses that might pop up. So, the oat flour package has an oat pancake recipe, and I think I have everything else for them, so upcoming noms.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think we would all like "someone like Suzi" working for us.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Yay Suzi. So, HUGE raise, right?

Trudy's comment about skin made me laugh.

Jesse, the NSA guy was being an asshole. Why not attach his name to the comments anyway?

OK, this is one way to brighten my morning: [link]

A North Carolina politician goes on the Daily Show, which airs his comments. Which are horrendously racist. Politician loses his job. This is how the system is supposed to work: pity it takes a comedy show to do it...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I saw the interview and I was astounded that the guy really didn't care less what he said on air.

We are working on bumping me up to the next job code level. Which will be my second bump in the 5 years since I took this job. I'm hoping more $ come with it.

Messages like that both help combat imposters syndrome and, at the same time, make me feel like an imposter. Stoooopid brain.

Because books.

Isn't that weird? I know exactly what you're talking about.

And doesn't your work have any Philly offices?!

ita, oatcakes sound very yummy.

I wish Amy. Well, I think we do, but I don't work with anyone there. My other big project is out of Cape Cod - I'm still trying to convince them I'm need to travel there.

Oooh, Cape Cod! Where ... my evil sister-in-law lives. Oh well.

They are good. And whole grain, but I am trying to think up ways to a) halve the recipe and b) make it wholier. I think I've got room to experiment next time.
